Activities
A typical day begins with help as needed with dressing, bathing, and grooming. Breakfast choices range from cereals to omelets and beyond. Then you may choose from our daily roster of activities, sign up for an excursion or simply decide to relax in your own apartment, drop by the library to read the daily papers or plan a bridge game with friends.
Or you may keep your hairdresser appointment, have a manicure, do your banking at our Eastern Bank branch on site or perhaps work out in Goldman's Gym with your personal trainer. A Bingo game is in progress in the activity suite, a computer advisor is on hand to help you e-mail your grandchildren, and, weather permitting, perhaps you may venture out on a group walk. The bus is departing for North Shore Shopping Center this afternoon, but a TV special catches your eye. You are interrupted by lunch with colorful choices displayed just outside the dining room to help you decide. Then, perhaps a film is announced or Yiddish class or a current events discussion. Or a nap.
The day does not end with dinner. There's Rummy Q, TV, movies - or a chance to reminisce with an old friend who has chosen retirement here, as well. Then you return to your own apartment filled with your familiar furnishings and keepsakes. The days never seem long enough, our residents claim, to incorporate the rich array of educational, social and recreational choices.
